Kim Kardashian spends over a million dollars on a team of 10 nannies each year.
An insider recently told The U.S. Sun that the SKIMS founder, who shares children North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with ex-husband Kanye West, has a "strict" childcare system and a nanny, sometimes multiple, assigned to each of her children.
To make sure all of her kids are supported amid her busy business schedule, Kardashian is "staffed seven days a week" and also employs nighttime nannies who help her get everything ready for the morning. The source revealed that daytime nannies start at 6:00 a.m. and work 12-hour shifts for $100,000 a year. They get one day off per week and are required to travel with their assigned child. The nannies also accompany the children to their father's house.
"If one of the kids is going to Kanye's, say like North, it tends to cause a little chaos as Kim has around three trusted ones that she will send. So if two of the kids go, it's even more chaos - which is why she's got a team of about 10 nannies. But then layer on the tutors, art teacher, dance and music teachers, the kids' stylists, creative play, and the house is often full of people there in service of the children - but all of that takes place in one dedicated wing of the house."
The insider explained that each nanny has a different role, and that North's also acts as her tutor and personal assistant.
The U.S. Sun mentioned that Kardashian's nannies handle "meals, clothing, laundry, security, drivers, and each of the kids' schedules," and get pay raises if the kids like them and they've been employed for more than 18 months.
